Talks

The staff presentations we run in schools act as a preventative measure. We aim to increase understanding of child maltreatment in the home, how to recognise the more subtle signs of abuse and best practice for managing concerns, including the importance of acting fast.

We choose to focus on working with school staff as they have the most amount of contact with young people and so the greatest opportunity to make a difference. We work to empower and enable all staff to work within their existing safeguarding policy and to feel confident in their decision making process when recognising and reporting suspected abuse.

These sessions should encourage further conversation in schools surrounding abuse.
