Raising awareness of child abuse and neglect in the home.
Safe at Home is a non-profit organisation created to raise awareness of child abuse and neglect in the home, and increase support for those affected.
We are currently working primarily in schools, advocating for comprehensive education and resources for all children.

How We Help
Our mission is to change the outdated way that abuse and neglect are both viewed and dealt with, through public speaking, signposting, and holding discussions with safeguarding leads and PSHE curriculum leads. Introducing teaching around abuse gives children the tools to recognise when it happens, thus empowering them to seek help if needed.
In 2025 we will be launching student-focused workshops for secondary aged children. These will be developed and delivered by experienced staff and volunteers trained at level three to four safeguarding. Each session can be crafted to suit a varied range of ages, content and be tailored to suit the needs of the individual school or setting.
Future Extensions
Looking longer term, we are working to facilitate support sessions for young people who have had such adverse experiences, to reduce their isolation and provide opportunities for social connection. We hope to be able to provide a consistent base of support for those who need it most.
We are also looking at how we can increase provisions of emergency accommodation for young people in immediate danger.
